Flat Shares

Flat shares are very popular amongst young people, especially those who have left home for the first time and students. Many students will find themselves in flat shares in the universities halls of residence, many of which offer flat style accommodation. Students who opt to live off campus and out of halls of residence will often seek out privately rented properties which they will rent in flat shares with their friends and peers.

Many young people find flat shares to be very enjoyable especially when they are sharing with a group of people they like. This is often due to the fact that they haven’t experienced the sort of freedom that flat shares allow them whilst living with their parents. This freedom can often cause people to overdo things, especially if they haven’t experienced flat shares before and many students away from home from the first time often find themselves developing unsociable sleeping patterns and excessive drinking habits.

A major benefit that many people find from entering into flat shares is that they will have their cost of living significantly reduced especially when compared to the costs they could expect to incur if they lived on their own. Rent is significantly reduced for people in flat shares and groups of four or more will often share accommodation dividing the rent cost up between each person. Also the cost of utility bills is often significantly less for people living in flat shares, even though there will actually be more people using the electricity and gas, when the cost is divided up then the cost of bills for the individual are frequently significantly lower than if they were to paying for bills whilst living on their own. It is for this reason that many students and other people who have a limited budget will opt into flat shares.
